The "Hôtel-Dieu" in Beaune, France, was founded as a hospital for the poor as early as 1443, and it continued to serve as a hospital until the 1960s! That's an impressive number of years of service!
An 18th-century pharmacy is on display in this beautiful building. The collection of mysterious bottles and jars with texts like magic spells made a wonderful picture. Still, I don't think, as a patient, the sight of these medicines really makes you feel any better!
Framing the sculpture in the window of the cabinet they were in gives it a natural frame. If you also take into account the incidence of light when placing a print like this, you don't need to buy a frame with it!
