About ‘Pelicans in Lake Nakuru’ by Andius Teijgeler

Lake Nakuru was known for its flamingos. But since 2016, the water level has risen by almost 1 metre per year. As a result, the lake has become much deeper and larger. The water has also become fresher. As a result, the trees are now standing in the water and the flamingos have made way for pelicans. With this image and the early morning mist, I was overcome by a feeling of mystery. That is also the answer to the question of the reasons behind the rise in water levels, although it is thought to be due to movements in the bottom of the Rift Valley.
