Almost all the leaves have fallen in the beech forest. The cool mist colours some green due to the reflection of all that yellow. The mist also seems to muffle the sound a little, as you have with snow, but a little less so now. The trees in the foreground, with their wet trunks, are a lot darker than the trees in the background and therefore stand out well. Because of the mist and the warm colours and also the low contrast, I experience a kind of security and peace in this image.
