The Town Hall is located on Rådhuspladsen Square on the border of the city center and the Vesterbro district, near Tivoli and Central Station. The building was designed by architect Martin Nyrop and was built in the period 1892-1905. Nyrop took inspiration for the design from the City Hall of Siena, Italy.
Poul Gustav Fischer, known as Paul Gustave Fischer (Copenhagen, Denmark, July 22, 1860 - Gentofte, May 1, 1934) was a Danish painter. After a stay in Paris between 1891 and 1895, his style changed towards impressionism and he was particularly notable for his fresh and bright use of color.
