patience is trump
the cat stalks a mouse
then: get set, jump
Black Cat hiding is an acrylic painting in contemporary square format painted by the artist Karen Kaspar. A black cat creeps crouched through the green grass of a meadow. The green eyes fixate intently on a mouse or other prey. The acrylic painting is painted with loose, expressive brush strokes
This work, a combination of painting and haiku, is a joint project by Karen Kaspar (© art and artwork) and Marjolein Rotsteeg (© Haiku).
A haiku is a traditional Japanese poetic form consisting of three lines.
Here the acrylic painting was completed with the haiku in English. In my portfolio there is also a variant with the poem in Dutch (see album 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'). The painting is also available without text (see album 'Cats').
You can find more paintings with haiku and poems in my albums 'Haiku and Painting English' and 'Haiku and Painting Dutch'. New works are constantly being added to the albums. So keep checking back from time to time!
