Narrow gravel path to the restored water level measuring house of Rijkswaterstaat near the Brabant village of De Heen, municipality of Steenbergen. From 1874 until the closure of the Volkerak in 1987, Rijkswaterstaat measured the water levels at low and high tide with the help of a so-called water level indicator. The picture was taken on a cloudy day in the autumn season.
