Tips for use

Point your camera at the floor or a piece of furniture first, then move it slowly up towards the wall. A bare white wall is hard for your phone to recognise.
Move your phone gently from side to side. Holding it still or waving it around quickly does not help.
Make sure there is enough light. In a dark room your phone has nothing to lock onto.

About ‘Palm trees in soft light’ by Anna Benge

A dreamy tropical landscape unfolds in a harmonious world of warm, soft pastel colours. In the background, mountains rise up in shades of dusky pink and warm brown, their peaks accented with moss green. Behind this mountain, the summit of a smaller mountain subtly peeks out in a pale green hue, barely visible but, precisely because of this, a refined addition to the composition.

At the foot of the mountain, an ochre-yellow field stretches out, bathed in soft evening light. Scattered among the field are shrubs in shades of mauve and lilac, enriched with playful highlights of pale blue and fresh light green. In the centre of this landscape stand two small houses: a small outbuilding next to a larger dwelling. Both buildings are composed of flat sections in warm shades of coral, pale pink and warm yellow, giving them a modern, somewhat abstract appearance whilst at the same time blending seamlessly into their surroundings.

In the foreground, three slender palm trees add depth and rhythm to the composition. Their trunks and foliage are painted in shades of coral and pale pink, subtly illuminated by pale blue accents that seem to catch the sunlight. The palm trees form an elegant frame for the landscape and enhance the sense of space.

To the left in the foreground lies a soft rock formation in shades of beige and pale pink. Its organic form and light colours contrast beautifully with the warm tones of the landscape, lending the painting a tranquil, almost poetic foundation.

The whole exudes an atmosphere of warmth, tranquillity and Mediterranean dreaminess, in which natural forms and a refined colour palette come together to create a harmonious and timeless image.
