The photo was taken from a low perspective, looking up directly from the ground. As a result, the palm leaves fill most of the image, fanning outwards from the centre. The leaves are long, narrow and pointed, with a bright green colour that varies with light and shadow. The pattern of the leaves creates a kind of radiant structure that seems to point towards the sky. Due to the perspective, the veins and details of each leaf are clearly visible. The sky is often partly visible through the gaps between the leaves, giving depth and airiness to the photo. The photo emphasises the height and elegance of the palm tree, while at the same time offering an intimate look at the natural details of the leaves. It is a unique point of view that shows the beauty of nature in detail and form.
