About the artwork

This artwork is part of our series of digitally manipulated portraits - Changing Faces. An ode to the old master painters. To the original portrait of a young woman by Rembrandt van Rijn we have added a considerable amount of colour. Moreover, the digital processing has created a structure that would not have been possible using traditional painting techniques alone. The identity of this woman remains unknown to this day. From the portrait, one might assume that she is someone from a wealthy background, given her clothes. The fact is that Rembrandt owned a considerable collection of diverse clothing and objects that he regularly included in his works of art.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
