This photo is a snapshot of a farmer with limited time to collect mature oysters during low tide in Denville, Normandy. The Normandy region is today the main supplier of oysters in all of France.
When I approached the oyster beds I immediately saw the perspective and lines of the oyster beds placed one behind the other, with the bonus of the farmer at work in the background.
During editing I quickly saw that it was going to be a black and white photo because of the light and shadow contrast of the oyster beds. The farmer and his tractor do not attract enough attention to emerge as the main subject in the photo, which ensures a balance between the perspectives, contrast and the story of this photo.
