In an abandoned garage was this bus. I really love the colour. How many people would it have transported before it was allowed to retire? It will always be a question, but I'm glad I came across it so I could immortalise it. He deserves that.

My name is Iris van Heusden, born in Amsterdam and living in Oirschot. For me, photography is an expression of my creativity. In every photograph I take, I am inspired by the work of the 'Old Masters'. I find the light, the atmosphere shown in their works phenomenal. I try to emulate those. Them brush for me is my camera, and with the processing I apply to the photos, the photo ultimately looks like a painting.
