About the artwork

Oudegracht in Utrecht between Jacobibrug and Viebrug. The approximately two-kilometre-long Oudegracht can be seen as the connecting piece between the Kromme Rijn and the Vecht and cuts through the entire city centre. For centuries, it was used as a supply and drainage route for merchandise and building materials. The canal water was used for all kinds of production processes, such as beer brewing, and building locks in 1275 gave the water level a constant low level. Storage cellars of houses were extended under the streets to the canal and new quays were built before these cellars. This created the typical wharves and wharf cellars. This process was complete in the 15th century. This photo was taken at dusk on 3 February 2019. Dark Utrecht. This is the name of my series of photos of Utrecht places after sunset. At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
