About ‘Original Mille Miglia Participant in Desenzano’ by Monique Caes

Some cars're telling stories, but this car screams history. Photographed in Desenzano del Garda during today's Mille Miglia, you see a rare specimen here: an original participant in the historic rally. The hand-painted racing number proves that - a badge of honour of a glorious past on Italian roads.

The Mille Miglia, once held between 1927 and 1957, is today a commemorative race for carefully selected vintage cars with a proven past. This bolide really drove then. It now returns to the course that once made it famous - among the warm applause of the crowd, against the backdrop of picturesque Lake Garda and the cobbled streets of Desenzano.

This picture is an ode to heritage, beauty, mechanics and passion. Perfect as wall decoration for lovers of classic cars, vintage racing, Italian elegance or just pure, tangible history.
