This work shows a symmetrically structured, ornamental pattern reminiscent of a stylised flower from the oriental art tradition. The composition consists of concentrically arranged, detailed elements in gold, orange, red and purple. The filigree shapes and decorations pick up on typical design elements from Islamic and Persian ornamentation without quoting a specific historical model.
The inspiration for this picture came from an examination of traditional pattern art and the question of how this can be translated into a contemporary, digital visual language. I was attracted by the combination of structure and playfulness - the balance between repetition and variation.
I wanted to create an atmosphere that is calm and at the same time rich in visual impulses. The image invites deeper contemplation and conveys a sense of harmony, precision and cultural depth. It symbolises the beauty of craftsmanship and the power of ornamental design.
In interior design, this work acts as a decorative centrepiece. Especially in calm, clearly designed rooms, it brings warmth, colour and cultural reference points - a work of art that is both aesthetic and narrative.
