Orange tulips lying on a bed of smoke

by Marjolijn van den Berg

"Oranje tulpen liggend op een bedje van rook" is a photo of two orange tulips that have almost finished flowering. This has made the structure of the veins in the petals even more clearly visible. If you zoom in on the photo, you can see this clearly.
The smoke flows across the ground, creating a lovely, graceful effect. In some places, the smoke rises briefly and you can see wisps of smoke "dansen".

This smoke in the photo looks very simple, but it took quite a bit of trial and error to create smoke of the right thickness and in the right quantity so that it looks exactly as I had imagined. I’m still experimenting with smoke, so that I can use it in lots of different ways in my photos's. Net zoals ik dat doe met reflecties en druppels. Door de vrolijke oranje kleuren en de natuurlijke rust die deze foto uitstraalt, kan het prachtig hangen in meerdere interieurstijlen en ruimtes. Denk bijvoorbeeld als blikvanger in de slaapkamer, als "rustgever" in the waiting room or simply as an eye-catcher above the sofa in the living room!
