Malcesine is one of the beautiful, historic towns on Italy's Lake Garda. It is a maze of narrow streets, colourful houses and atmospheric shops. Although it is usually touristy, I went there early in the morning, just after sunrise, to capture the tranquillity and soft, golden light. The streets were completely empty except for one Fiat 500 vintage car. It felt like I had gone back in time 50 years. The contrast between the peaceful atmosphere and the classic car made it a magical moment.

Photographing colourful Italian streets is a feast for the eyes. The narrow alleys, full of brightly coloured houses, flowers on the balconies and authentic little shops, offer a perfect backdrop. Especially in the early morning or late afternoon, when the sunlight is soft and warm, the colours really come alive. These moments create a unique atmosphere that is hard to resist as a photographer.

Fiat 500 vintage cars add another dimension to this scene. Their charming, retro looks fit perfectly into the picturesque streets of Italian villages and towns. Whether they are parked in front of a colourful facade or driving through an old street, the combination of the classic car and the historic setting makes every photo timeless. These scenes capture not only the beauty of Italy, but also a sense of nostalgia and relaxed Italian life. Perfect for both documentary and street photography.
