A moment caught between strength and vulnerability. This image shows a young woman literally and figuratively standing on the edge. Captured from a low perspective, she looks larger than life itself, but at the same time the wind playing through her hair betrays a certain fragility. Choosing black and white, I try to put all the emphasis on pose, texture and emotion. The rough concrete, the clean lines of the brick wall and the tight contours of her silhouette. The result is a photograph that balances between raw reality and poetic imagination. You feel the tension of the place, an edge that separates safety from the unknown, and you wonder: will she stay put, or will she make the move? It is exactly that open question that makes this image powerful. With "On the Edge", I try to deliver a work that confronts, inspires and gives any space a palpable energy.
