The old sheds at the Wagenwerkplaats have an attraction I can never ignore as a photographer. The weathered windows in particular, with their rusty frames and cracked glass, tell stories without words. On a quiet afternoon, I wandered around there, camera in hand, looking for details normally overlooked. The light filtered in through the tall windows and cast whimsical shadows on the walls, a perfect setting for urban photography. What makes this place so special is that it is not polished or perfect. It is precisely the frayed edges, cracks, dust and patina that make it visually interesting. Here I don't photograph to capture beauty, but to capture atmosphere, history and texture. To me, this shot is an ode to the imperfect and to the places that quietly continue to tell their story.
