About ‘Old roads, new light II’ by Kristoff De Turck
Photographed in a local forest in Moortsele, a small municipality in Flanders on the edge of the Flemish Ardennes. The Schellaert path is part of the bunker route, a footpath along an old defensive belt from the 2nd world war, located around the city of Ghent.

"Photography is an austere and blazing poetry of the real"... This quote is from the famous photographer Ansel Adams. Personally, I translate it as a 'brief breathtaking moment' experienced when seeing a picture for the first time. Most of my photography is totally dedicated to the pursuit of such a rare moment.
