About ‘Oil portrait woman with beige hat’ by Jennemie De Beer

This lady stepped straight out of a 1950s/60s fashion magazine.
She is wearing a beige blouse and a beige hat with silk flowers and a pearl necklace.
I painted her in oil paint.
The period appeals to me and I think she would just fit into a contemporary interior with a vintage touch.

Original created by Jennemie De Beer.

We were encouraged to try out materials and techniques.
Also, all kinds of materials were already recycled, cupboards full of materials, ready to be used. Because of this, I often see 'waste' as a material to make something out of.
Something keeps coming my way that I want to learn and experience…
