About "Ode to Chris Lebeau"

About the artwork

Chris Lebeau is an icon when it comes to designs in the art deco period. This work is originally a triptych which Lebeau designed for a house in The Hague. Beautiful stained glass, stained.

I edit my photos in Photoshop. Sometimes I mix my own photos with existing (copyright-free) material or my own ideas. I leave existing material (paintings, drawings, litho's, etc.) in their original state as much as possible. Any imperfections therefore remain visible when I find it of added value.

Everyone looks at art in their own way. To influence this as little as possible, I leave to the viewer what his or her thoughts or feelings about it are. I don't want to steer in emotions or preferences, for example; everyone is allowed to experience their own findings. I want to give people the chance to give their own interpretation, to make the work their 'own' own. Of course, I also pay attention to aesthetics. After all, a work has to be decorative and/or attractive.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
