On Sunday 26 February, there were already reports and photos about the Northern Lights over the Netherlands. The forecast for Monday 27 February was also good so I went to Wadden experience point Den Oever. Then I had the viewpoint as a nice foreground edge which gives you some depth in your photo. I arrived at my spot at 7.30 pm. Later it got busier but I had already taken my spot and set everything up properly. It started rather faintly at first and my spirits began to sink as time went on. But by 9.45pm, more and more colour began to appear in the sky. This photo was taken at 9.59 p.m. , you can nicely see the colour pillars and you can nicely see 2 colours.That's because we were looking at the side of the aurora.
