About ‘North Sea surf’ by M.J. Lagerwerf

A dynamic coastal scene where the irrepressible energy of the sea and the calm of the moment come together. Rough, moss-covered rocks occupy the foreground, while the surf beats relentlessly against the shore, stirring up foam and splashes.
At the same time, the presence of a seagull on one of the rocks brings a human scale and a sense of vigilance: she is both spectator and part of the rhythm of ebb and flow.
The sky, full of dramatic clouds and flecks of light, reinforces the contrast between dynamism and stillness; the image exudes both power and contemplation.

This picture invites double viewing: first you feel the physical force of water and stone, then the gaze descends and you discover the tranquillity contained in that same violence.
As a wall work, it works extremely well in spaces that seek balance between energy and serenity.
A place where movement and stillness meet and where the seagull as a small, silent symbol guides the human gaze.
It is an ode to the elements: impetuous, but not without inner peace.

What are the delivery times?

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. Details on the exact delivery date will be sent after placement of the order. Depending on the shipping country the following delivery times apply:

Is your order a gift for someone? We can create you a gift voucher that displays the artwork(s) you ordered, so you have something to give while the artwork is being printed. Just send us an e-mail and we’ll take care of it.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
