About "Nordlicher over Straumur"

About the artwork

This picture captures an impressive scene in Iceland: The former cultural centre Straumur stands isolated under a clear night sky. The windows are warmly lit, but the real protagonists of the picture dance above them - the Northern Lights. In bright green and delicate transitions, they sweep across the sky in curved paths, lending the scene an almost unearthly effect.
The scenery is reflected completely calmly in a neighbouring body of water, which looks like a natural mirror. The house, trees and the light trails of the aurora borealis appear in perfect symmetry on the smooth surface of the water. The foreground remains calm and earthy - with moss-covered rocks, grass and gentle shorelines - while above, the spectacle of light and colour draws the eye upwards.
Despite its luminous appearance, the picture radiates a deep calm. It is a composition of stillness, nature and cosmic movement - a scene that seems as if time has come to a standstill for a moment. A rare interplay of earthly security and celestial spectacle.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
