Zr.Ms. Holland (P840) is the namesake of the Holland class, a series of four patrol vessels for the Royal Netherlands Navy. The ship was launched at the end of 2008 and handed over by Damen Schelde Naval Shipbuilding to the Defence Materiel Organization in 2011.
The ship was christened by Queen Beatrix in Vlissingen on Tuesday, February 2, 2010.
The patrol vessels of the Holland Class can be used for many tasks within anti-piracy missions, counterdrug operations and tasks for the Coast Guard.
