This work was created with watercolour, fineliner and markers and coloured pencils. It is a combination of paintings, drawings and collage.
The background was first set up with lots of water in shades of purple and brown. Then the areas were put on with marker and brown fantasy figures were added in the bottom right. Finally, various collage elements were superimposed, which were first made separately and later added to this work. These include abstract shapes in purple and pink colour transitions, with details of white marker. You can also see a long tentacle drawn with purple coloured pencil. Finally, you can see mushrooms made with fineliner and watercolour.
This work also has a psychedelic atmosphere due to the subject choice and the high level of fantasy. The natural elements in the background and the tentacle also bring out associations with the undersea world.
As an artist, I make great use of the warm colours, purple, pink, brown, orange yellow. These give a 1970s atmosphere to the works. In addition, you will always encounter natural organic shapes in my artworks, reminiscent of plants and flowers. With these, I want to celebrate femininity, softness and nature.
