Mullerthal, 'Little Switzerland' Luxembourg
The Mullerthal, also known as Luxembourg's Little Switzerland, is a fairytale natural region in eastern Luxembourg, near the German border. Its nickname "Little Switzerland" is due to its unique landscape with jagged sandstone formations, deep gorges, dense forests and babbling brooks. The region is famous for the Mullerthal Trail, a 112-kilometre hiking trail, and the spectacular Schiessentümpel waterfall. The area is an ideal destination for hikers and nature lovers looking for adventure and relaxation in nature, with opportunities for both short and long treks.
