It was a peaceful spring morning in Hallstatt, the picturesque Austrian mountain village often regarded as one of the most beautiful lakeside towns in the world. The conditions were perfect for photography — the lake was perfectly still and the mountain peaks still dusted with snow. I arrived early, just before sunrise, hoping to capture the village and the mountains bathed in soft morning light. For about an hour, I waited and kept shooting, looking for the perfect moment when the light was just right. Just as I was about to pack up, the first morning boat arrived, adding a final touch to the composition and at the same time shattering the lake's almost perfect reflection. Fortunately, I had already captured the reflection shot I came for.
