In the golden autumn of the Allgäu, the Höfats rises majestically, a proud 2259 metres above sea level. Its summit reflects the radiant blue of the sky, which is surrounded by foamy clouds. A gentle hint of mist envelops the Nebelhorn, whose summit stretches promisingly into the air at 2224 metres above sea level.
The Laufbacher-Eck trail winds its way above the idyllic Oytal valley, a path that indulges the senses with the fullness of autumn. The Rädlergrat ridge on the Himmelhorn sits enthroned on the horizon like a rugged brushstroke, while the Schneck, at 2268 metres above sea level, looks down on onlookers in the distance.
The sun shines its warm light on the Himmeleck, whose summit at 2145 metres offers an incomparable view of the picturesque Allgäu Alps. In the majestic row, the Große Wilder at a proud 2379 metres and the Kleine Wilder at 2306 metres join to form an imposing panorama.
The landscape, accompanied by a hint of coolness, does not yet wear the wintery garb of snow, but instead shows itself in all its autumn splendour. Against this backdrop, the leaves of the trees dance in the warm colours of farewell. Here, on the peaks of the Allgäu Alps, nature becomes a poet and the mountains tell stories of summers past and winters to come. The beauty of autumn in the Allgäu Alps is revealed in this quiet grandeur, a poem in blue and gold, written by the brush of nature.
