I probably shot my first picture when I was 5 or 6. My first subjects were sea gulls sweeping past the boat I was on. Obviously, the combined challenge of a moving deck, fast-moving birds and my mini point-and-shoot analogue camera made it somewhat tricky to take pictures of anything but random patches of sky and sea, but fortunately it didn't put me off to continue with my photography hobby.
