On an early June morning before sunrise, between Oudemolen and Gasteren, I come across this image near the Oudemolensche Diep. At this spot next to the bridge to Gasteren, fog often hangs over the fields, both in the morning and in the evening. The white whales - that's how the fog patches are also called - hover above the area, where deer, foxes and all kinds of birds, among others, hide The Oudemolensche Diep is part of the Drentse Aa stream valley system.
