The photo shows the moorhen or coot moorhen. So this is no common coot (Fulica atra).
This particular species can be recognised by its red forehead shield and beak, with a yellow tip, dark grey head and breast.
The plumage is brownish with lighter flanks. White spots are visible on the sides under the wing and a white stripe on the feathers.
