About ‘Mooncatcher’ by Atelier van Saskia
I often draw trees. The shape of the trunk, so whimsical yet recognisable, fascinates me. When I made this drawing, it was autumn and the colours around me shone gold and red. I saw this image before me as I looked at the trees near my studio. A loose tree, floating in the sky, growing on the moon. New moons emerged on the branches.
