Morocco is a beautiful country. Lots of rugged, mountainous landscapes with eroded gorges with small villages with dark red stones stuck in them. The Erg Chebbi desert near Merzouga in eastern Morocco is stunning. Especially at a moody sunset. During the day the light is stark so photography at such'a time has to wait. Nevertheless, you can look for a suitable location during the day to photograph such a sunset. That search for a suitable location saves time in the afternoon. I took this photo while the sun was already setting, with the undulating sand dunes first being enveloped in a soft yellow glow, which later turned into a reddish, immense carpet. Something like this only lasts for a short time so you need to get there in time.
