The former town hall was built as a rectory for the administrative and judicial authorities in 1599. In 1666, it was given a floor and a wooden tower. The building also served as a daredevil and in the nineteenth century it became the town hall of the new municipality of Winkel.
The facades were then renewed and in 1922 a renovation in imitation Dutch Renaissance style followed. In 1960 a post office was established on the ground floor, where among other things the beam layer and the floor of the ground floor were renewed and a safe installed.
The building is now a provincial monument. From 1994 to 2017 it housed a perfume bottle museum.
