About "Monet's roses"

About the artwork

At Monet's gardens in Giverny (west of Paris, an hour's drive from the City of Light by car), roses bloom in full splendour, bathed in the light that so inspired Claude Monet.
In the foreground, the flowers are fragrant, while in the background, the impressionist's famous pink and green house is hidden behind the sea of flowers. It is a place where art and nature merge.

Monet settled here in 1883 and trafsformed the garden into a living painting.
He planted flowers in exuberant colour combinations and created the enchanting water lily pond, which later became one of his most famous subjects.
The house itself, with its colourful rooms and large windows, provided an inspiring environment in which he could capture the changing light of the seasons.
He once said that his garden was his greatest work of art.

Today, Giverny still seems like a painting brought to life.
We were there in June 2018 and in addition to these amazing roses, we saw poppies, peonies, allium, geraniums and even dahlias'already. The picture shows the beautiful rose Rosa "Souvenir de la Malmaison", a Boubon rose created in 1843 by rose grower Jean Béluze.
We were lucky that the famous water lilies were also blooming (see also my photo "Water lilies by Monet", work code: 718218).

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
