About "Mona Lisa with Sunflowers on a Starry Night"

About the artwork

This surrealist collage work combines the style and elements of three iconic painters: Leonardo da Vinci, Vincent van Gogh, and his "Starry Night" and "Sunflowers" series.

At the centre of the picture we see Leonardo da Vinci's world-famous Mona Lisa. Her mysterious smile, serene pose and classic Renaissance look are retained. She sits frontally as in the original painting, but the environment around her is completely transformed.

In the background is the vivid, turning nightscape from Vincent van Gogh's Starry Night. The typical, expressive brushstrokes in blue, white and yellow give the scene a dreamlike, almost cosmic feel. The cypresses and swirling stars make the scene dynamic and poetic.

In her hands, Mona Lisa holds a large bunch of sunflowers, taken from Van Gogh's famous flower paintings. The sunflowers are expressively painted, with a mix of warm yellow and ochre tones and visibly thick layers of paint, typical of Van Gogh's impasto technique. The flowers stand out contrastingly but harmoniously against her dark clothes and the night sky behind her. Harmony of Old Masters.

How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers. Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
