And again, the beginning of the day was a present. This morning I crossed the Rhine to enjoy a beautiful sunrise in the Betuwe. This picture was taken a few minutes before the sunrise.
The Marsch is a polder mill built in 1885 and is the successor of the eight-sided wooden mill built in 1758 and burned down in 1884. The mill was thoroughly restored between 1999 and 2001. The mill is situated at the Marsdijk 2 in Lienden.
The mill has a round, strongly conical stone hull and is a ground-sailer and upper cruiser. The thatched roof is seasoned using an English wheelbarrow. (source: Wikipedia)
