A big advantage of travelling during bad(er) weather, fewer fellow tourists and therefore less crowds at the regular highlights.
Once I arrive at Mistaya Canyon, in the middle of the Rocky Mountains, in a thick downpour, I am there with 1 other car. The road to the canyon is wet, rainy and especially lonely... Not a person in sight!
Then when I arrive at the river and canyon, I really have the place to myself, where normally the rocks are packed with tourists to take that one photo.
So with my rain cap on my camera and a good mackintosh, I was well prepared for this weather and could take photos for as long as I wanted, but most importantly... Enjoying all this beauty, by myself!
