De Hond (Frisian: De Hûn) is a scaffold mill near the Frisian village of Paesens, located in the Dutch municipality of Noardeast-Fryslân. De Hond was built in 1861. In 1950, a demolition permit for the mill was applied for and obtained, but it did not come to demolition. The Association De Hollandsche Molen bought De Hond in 1968 for the symbolic amount of one guilder. From 1969 to 1971 the mill was completely restored. Since 1977, De Hond has been owned by the De Fryske Mole Foundation. The mill is equipped with two pairs of grinding stones and a double peeling mechanism.
