Despite the necessary light pollution, the Milky Way can still be seen regularly in the Netherlands. On a sand drift near national park the Hoge Veluwe, this image was photographed. Part of the Milky Way can be seen here. The core of the galaxy is high on the horizon therefore it is difficult to capture photographically.
The large green pine in the foreground completes the composition of this picture. The contrast and colours make for a unique picture that you can hang anywhere in your home or office.
The light pollution in the Netherlands is almost everywhere. At a sandy landscape in the middle of Holland, this picture has been photographed in the middle of the night. You can see a part of the Milkyway. The stars are above in the sky so that makes it difficult to photograph.
The big green tree in front of the stars makes this photo more interesting.
