There are few places with a more spectacular view than the Neuer Prager Hütte in Austria. The hut is nestled between the glacier tongues of the Schlatenkees River which flows deep below the hut. The mountain on the right is the Kleinvenediger, the mountain on the left is called Schwarze Wand.
I shot this photo on September 4, 2020 from the terrace of the hut with a ten second exposure. The conditions were perfect. Clear conditions provided a rare good contrast and the rise of the moon on the other side of the sky allowed me to capture the Milky Way, the mountains and the glacier in one exposure.
Ever since I 'borrowed' my mother's contact camera in 2004, I've shot everything under the sun.
