The cathedral took nearly six centuries to complete: construction began in 1386, and the final details were completed in 1965. It also features the work of almost 80 architects and is the largest church in Italy and the second largest in Europe and the fourth largest in the world. The interior of the cathedral includes numerous monuments and artworks and the rooftop (where this photograph was take) is a masterpiece of gothic architecture. The Duomo di Milano is truly breathtaking at every corner.
