In 2011 I undertook a photography trip to the Mighty Mountains of the Carpathians in Romania. In this part of the Carpathians on the Ukrainian border, time really seems to have stood still for 100 years. We made daily trips with the steam train through the forests and mountains and got to know the local friendly workers who live here from the forest work. I took this picture from a tripod where I had to wade through the ice-cold water. By taking a low point of view and using a wide-angle lens, I was able to take a wide shot of this mighty beautiful area. Forests, the mountains and the river... it's all there with a lot of snow as a bonus for the necessary atmosphere. This photo was the first photo that I had printed in large format for myself. Now it is available for Work on the Wall. Hopefully you can enjoy it as much as I do every day? H
