Metro signage from the 1920s in Paris.
This Val d'Osne variant was used in the early years of the Paris Metro. Named after an iron foundry.
It consists of a spherical bulb and around the Metro sign is an ornate cast iron frieze.
Later on simpler designs were used. But how beautiful are these!
