Creating an abstract image from a detail of a building or interior is a challenge for me.
For this image, I travelled to Arnhem station and photographed a detail of a concrete centrepiece. In that concrete are a number of openings through which light enters. I converted the rather dull shades of grey to different shades of blue. You can also vaguely see some reflections from the interior lighting present. All in all, it has become an unrecognisable image, which was also my intention.
You can look at it longer and marvel at how the shapes are intertwined.
This will look incredibly good in a large format in a clean and modern environment.
