About the artwork

This graphic pen-and-ink artwork immediately evokes associations with classic seafaring tattoos, executed in a retro style that oozes nostalgia and adventure. The central figure is a graceful mermaid, expertly drawn in black ink on a brown, parchment-like background.

The mermaid is depicted posing seductively, her upper body elegantly curved. Her face is detailed with large, expressive eyes and full lips suggesting a mysterious smile. Long, wavy black hair flows like ink across her shoulders and back, giving a sense of movement and depth to the drawing.

The most striking feature is the transition from the mermaid's tail to an anchor. The fish scales of her tail gradually fade and transform into the solid, metallic shape of the anchor. This seamless fusion symbolises the connection between the mysterious depths of the sea and the stability sailors seek.

At Art Heroes we do not mass produce or keep stock, but make to order. Your artwork is made with passion by experienced craftsmen and is on average ready for shipment in 7 business days. How will the package be sent?

We work with several carriers, mainly UPS and DHL (Depending on the country where it is delivered, this may vary). Couriers can also be used for large or fragile packages.

Canvas are securely packed in plastic bubble wrap and cardboard. Wallpaper and posters are sent in sturdy tubes.

A courier collects the package from us and takes the package to a depot where it usually stays overnight. The day after it is collected and delivered to your home or office. We work with courier services that specialise in handling fragile parcels.

Not at home? Then the delivery driver will leave a note and an appointment can be made to schedule a new delivery.

Unfortunately, there remains a chance that something can happen during a shipment. In the unlikely event that your parcel has been damaged during transit, please take a picture of the entire item, the damage, the entire package and a picture of the shipping label. Send these photos to us by email and we will solve the problem without delay.
