About ‘Mercedes-Benz type 170 S (W 136)’ by aRi F. Huber
The W 136 series was first shown to the interested public at the 1936 International Motor Show in Berlin. This pre-war model was the only car built by Daimler-Benz that continued to be produced after the war. The MB 170 S was thus a further development of the 170 V model, which was produced from 1949 under the model number W 136 IV.
