Men: The term 'man' usually refers to an adult man, as he developed, at least physically, during puberty. A boy is a male child. The word man is sometimes associated with a certain sense of responsibility that younger men are not yet ready for; others feel too old to be called young. This may be a reason not to use either term to refer to a young man: estimating the age and the degree of responsibility are factors that make it difficult to use the terms boy or man. Some prefer the word 'young man', an intermediate term used to refer to men who are at the end of puberty.
