Drawing or illustration of the First Battle of Nördlingen in Swabia, Baden-Württemberg/Bavaria was a battle during the Thirty Years' War, which took place on 5 and 6 September 1634 in the Bavarian town of Nördlingen.
Battle between the Protestant Swedes and Saxons against the Roman Catholic Bavaria, Spain and Holy Roman Empire. In 1635 (Peace of Prague) a peace attempt failed. Only in 1648 the Peace of Westphalia brought an end to the war.
